Danville, VA - Averett University held a ribbon cutting Tuesday for the opening of their new nursing program.
Classes will begin tomorrow in the former Diamon Brothers Tobacco building on Bridge Street in Danville.
Averett had been holding classes there since last June, but was only recently approved to begin offering nursing degrees.
The new program will employ eight faculty and staff members and offer students the latest in medical training technologies.
