Update 5 p.m.:
Charlottesville, VA - A judge has rejected a new trial bid by George Huguely's attorneys.
They wanted the second degree murder conviction set aside and a new trial ordered after he was found guilty of killing Yeardley Love. Both were students at UVa back in May 2010 when this happened.
At the end of a 2.5 hour hearing, the judge said there was overwhelming evidence to support Huguely's conviction.
Huguely's sentencing is August 30. He faces up to 26 years in prison.

Charlottesville, VA - Attorneys for former UVA lacrosse player George Huguely will be in court Wednesday to ask a judge to grant their client a new trial.
In February, a jury convicted Huguely of the second-degree murder of fellow lacrosse player Yeardley Love.
Attorneys for Huguely cite a series of errors before and during the trail in arguing for a new trial. Prosecutors oppose the defense motion.
A judge is expected rule on the defense motion before Huguely's sentencing August 31. He faces up to 26 years in prison.
