Danville, VA - Another candidate has entered the race for the 5th District House seat.
Ben Hudson announced his candidacy as an Independent Wednesday.
He served for 24 years as an Army Officer and most recently was a teacher.
He says that he does not fit exactly with Republicans or Democrats but goes back and forth depending on the issue.
Hudson wants to focus on job creation, social security and tax reform, as well as healthcare.
He will be looking to unseat Congressman Robert Hurt.
