Appomattox, VA - We often hear of elderly members of our community getting scammed. Now the Appomattox Sheriff's Office is trying to put a stop to it.
They created the TRIAD program to help inform the elderly and their caregivers about all the latest scams in our area.
The next meeting is coming up soon - August 28. It's at 1 p.m. at the Appomattox Community Center. Anyone is invited to go.
