Roanoke, VA – Officials are investigating a robbery that happened on 9th Street in Roanoke early Friday morning.
The Roanoke Police Department says the victim, a 22-year-old woman, says she was walking in the 1200 block of 9th Street around 4:30 a.m. when a car approached her with a driver and two passengers. She says a man got out of the car, grabbed her purse, and after a short struggle, was able to get back into the car and flee with the purse.
The woman had minor injuries.
Officials say the man is white with a heavy build and tattoos on both of his arms. The car he was in is a blue four door sedan.
