Lynchburg - High school volleyball at Heritage, the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes spoiled Heritage's season opener at home, beating the Pioneers 3-1.
After Timberlake won game one, back came Heritage, Katie Wilson smacked one of her 12 kills, she added 19 digs, the Pioneers won game two to even the match.
Freshman Darian Finnerty had a big night for Timberlake, 12 kills and four blocks, the Tornadoes won a tight game three 25-22.
Heritage rallied and led much of game four, Morgan Pannell and Chelsea Sadler helping lead the charge.
But Timberlake drew even at 23 and won the final two points to clinch the victory three games to one. Timberlake improves to 4-and-1, Heritage is 0-and-1.
