Martinsville, VA - Two Martinsville schools had a very special and high-ranking guest Tuesday.
Commanding General of the US Army Materiel Command, four-star General Dennis Via, spoke with students about the importance of education.
He stopped by Magna Vista High and Albert Harris Elementary.
Via says all of his success started here since he grew up in the Martinsville area. He stressed you can achieve anything if you apply yourself.
Via said he hopes his talk will make a difference in these student's lives.
