Lynchburg, VA - Some big name Hollywood filmmakers are coming to Lynchburg this week, and you'll have the chance to meet them.
It's Liberty University first film festival put on by the new school of cinematic arts.
The event includes four film screenings including a Q and A with the filmmakers. It wraps up Saturday with a day-long panel discussion at LU's law school.
Lynchburg native Randall Wallace, who has produced and written dozens of films, will be there.
Some of his most popular pieces are Braveheart, Pearl Harbor and Secretariat.
"This is a great event for people to come out, enjoy, learn, actually interact with them on a one-on-one basis because in addition to the panel discussions, they're going to be doing individual break-out sessions. You can sit on with this individual speakers, ask them specific questions and learn more about the film industry," said Scotty Curlee, the event director .
All the screenings and the panel discussion are free to the public.
