Danville - Three Elizabethton pitchers held Danville batters to just two hits for the game as the Twins blanked the Braves 4-0 in the opener of their three-game Appalachian League playoff series. The series shifts to Elizabethton for game two Thursday night, the Twins would also host a game three, if necessary, on Friday night. The Twins Adam Walker had a big night in game one, going 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, double and single. His two-run shot was homer number 15 of the season.
Twins starter Jose Berrios pitched six shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out seven.
Carlos Franco had Danville's only extra-base hit, a double.
