Lynchburg - High school volleyball Thursday night at E.C. Glass, the Hilltoppers battled the Franklin County Eagles in non-district action. E.C. Glass won three straight games to clinch the match 3-0, the Hilltoppers improve to 2-and-0 on the season.
The Toppers gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about, Alyssa Morris and Sarah Thomas combine for the block and point as Glass built a big lead in game one.
The Eagles tried to rally, Jo Osborne delivered a nice kill.
But Glass won game one, Katharine George lays down the hammer for the final point, 25-14 Toppers.
Glass would add game two 25-19 and game three 25-18 to win the match. Kelsey Plankeel had six kills, three blocks. Paige Riley 21 assists, Cristina Good eight kills, four digs.
E.C. Glass plays host to Patrick Henry Tuesday night.
