Richmond, VA - GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney will not appear at a rally in Richmond Friday so he can head to Louisiana to tour the storm damage there.
This announcement comes on the heels of Romney's big night in Tampa where he officially accepted the nomination for presidency.
After that, Romney wrapped up the Republican National Convention with a speech that included lots of criticism about President Obama.
"Many Americans have given up on this president but they haven't ever thought about giving up. Not on themselves. Not on each other. And not on America," he said Thursday night.
Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan will still appear at the rally with the rest of the Republican slate on this fall's Virginia ballot, including Senate candidate George Allen.
It will be at Martinair's general aviation hangar at Richmond International Airport.
The event also comes just two days after President Barack Obama ended a three-city swing-state tour of college campuses at Charlottesville on Wednesday.
