Bedford Co.,VA- The Bedford County School system system is taking action and implementing training sessions for their staff.
The training is based on guidelines from the Virginia Department of Education. It's focused on preventing sexual misconduct, and abuse between students and staff. The school spokesperson says 90 teachers and administrators have already gone through the training. And, they plan to include the whole school district.
"The more training that we can provide our employees to be vigilant to be to watch for the signs, and to report the signs the better off we are going to be in the long run," said Ryan Edwards, Spokesperson for Bedford County Public Schools.
The school system will also provide this training to school volunteers.
