VMI Opens at Delaware State

Lexington - VMI opens its season Saturday at 2 at Delaware State.

The Keydets looking to bounce back from a 2-and-9 season last year.

Robert Collins, R-JUNIOR OFF. LINEMAN (WILLIAM BYRD), said "They've got a big defensive line, they're athletic, they run kind of a strange defense.  You know they blitz a lot and they've got a lot of, they do a lot of crazy stuff on defense.  But, you know, none of that stuff really matters.  We've just got to get on the field and we've just got to take care of business."

Jeff Farrington, FIRST-YEAR VMI DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR, said "We're gonna see a team in Delaware State that has a very experienced quarterback, they've got very experienced wide receivers, they've got experienced offensive linemen.  They've got a lot of players coming back that can make plays and move the football."
