Martinsville, VA- Around 5 a.m. Saturday Martinsville police responded to a call of shots fired at the Rivermont Apartments in the 1400 Block of Fayette Street.
Another call came moments later about a woman being treated for a gunshot wound at the Martinsville and Henry County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
Police learned that the 18-year-old woman had been shot at the Rivermont Apartments. She was treated at Memorial Hospital and then flown to Roanoke Memorial for further treatment.
