Danville, VA - One restaurant is bringing some Caribbean flavor to Danville. Caribbean Hideaway just opened three weeks ago and is already getting lots of customers.
It's something that the owners have wanted to do for quite a while and they finally got the chance. Owners Donald Hall and his finance Bridgette Duin opened the business because they noticed Danville was lacking in Caribbean cuisine.
Before moving in, the Hall said they decorated the building so customers would get a real Caribbean experience.
"There could be some people that will never get the chance to actually visit but they can come to our restaurant and feel that they are there because of the music, the atmosphere and the food that we serve," said Donald Hall.
Duin is originally from St. Thomas and is the main chef. Hall says one of their most popular dishes is fried cabbage.
