Man Injured in ATV Accident on Liberty Mountain

Lynchburg, VA - Some scary moments on Candler's Mountain Monday after an ATV accident up by the Liberty University monogram.

LU officials say an employee of the campus recreation department lost control of an ATV and ended up hitting his face into a tree.

The 37-year-old man ended up with a concussion, some broken facial bones and a black eye. But officials say he's going to be okay.

They've not released his name. Officials say he was wearing a helmet.

LU says this is the first accident since they started renting ATVs on the mountain more than five years ago.
