Lynchburg - Liberty Flames football coach Turner Gill has returned to Texas to be with his family following the unexpected passing Sunday of his mother Hattie.
Gill is expected to remain in Texas most of this week before returning for Liberty's home opener Saturday night against Norfolk State.
