Pittsylvania Co., VA - The case against a 23-year-old accused of murder in Pittsylvania County is moving forward.
A second degree murder charge was certified today during a preliminary hearing against James Santangelo II.
Santangelo was charged in the July 30 death of James Ooten, 52.
The suspect is accused of stabbing Ooten in his front yard with a kitchen knife after entering the victim's home uninvited.
Ooten died on the scene.
