Hokies Prepare for Quick Turnaround Against Austin Peay

Blacksburg - 15th-ranked Virginia Tech will have a quick turnaround after a physical Monday night win over Georgia Tech when the Hokies host Austin Peay Saturday at 1:30.

Of course the last time Tech tried a Monday night and quick turnaround Saturday, JMU made the Hokies pay, upsetting Tech in the rain in Blacksburg two years ago.  That came after a heartbreaking loss to Boise State Monday, this time Tech comes off a win and faces an Austin Peay team that got hammered last week by Western Kentucky 49-10.
The Hokies got a little dinged up against Georgia Tech, meaning some players will get a few less reps in practice this week.

Frank Beamer, HOKIES HEAD COACH, said "I think we just gotta be smart trying to get our legs back under us and we gotta prepare for Austin Peay but we gotta make sure we are as healthy as possible too."

Vinston Painter. HOKIES R-SENIOR OFFENSIVE TACKLE, said "We enjoy that win for the night but everyone has that quick turnover.  So right now everyone's mind is on Austin Peay and everyone's ready to compete this Saturday and ready to begin studying the film today."
