YWCA Records 100 Years of History

Lynchburg, VA - This year, the YWCA in Lynchburg turns 100. To celebrate, they are launching the Centennial History Project.

They want your help - If you've participated in the YWCA in any way - swimming, gymnastics, maybe even lived there - they want to hear about it and record it.

The goal is to create an oral history of the YW for all time.

"In 100 years, when they go to do the 200th anniversary, we want that information available. But, also because it's such an integral part of the total history of the City of Lynchburg. You can see Lynchburg through the YWCA and to see how it's changed to adapt to what the city needs," said Beth Doucette, project director.
