Lynchburg - One of the real bright spots in Liberty's near upset at Wake Forest Saturday night was the play of senior tight end Justin Gunn.
The one-time scholarship BASEBALL player at the University of Washington transferred to LU in 2009 and has played several different positions. He ran over and through several Deacons on a 47-yard gain, one of three catches for 66 yards.
Justin Gunn, FLAMES SENIOR TIGHT END, said "Just lowered my shoulder and he bounced off me and I just took it down the sideline and just ran as far as I could. When I didn't go down on the first tackle, I was pretty excited. So I was running as fast as I could, it was real exciting."
