Lynchburg, VA-Lynchburg's first "universally accessible" playground is really starting to take shape thanks to some hard-working volunteers.
Even in the heat, Lynchburg Rotary Club members spent hours putting together playground equipment, and spreading mulch. The playground is being set up right by the spray ground at Riverside Park.
The Rotary club has put $50,000 into the project so far. And, they say kids are going to love all the cool features.
"This isn't just a swing set. We have a sensory wall where there are kaleidoscopes. There are marbles they can roll their hands down. There is a drum line there are bongo. It's going to be a lot of fun." Shannon Watt, President of the Lynchburg Rotary Club.
The city hopes to have the park ready for your kids by the end of the month.
