Lynchburg, VA - Chips, candy, gum - the usual items in the office vending machine. But if you are tired of the unhealthy choices, there's a chance for change.
It's called Naturals 2 Go - a vending machine with healthy food choices. The company says it is willing to serve offices in the Lynchburg market if there's interest.
The Lynchburg Regional Chamber, along with Lynchburg's Live Healthy Initiative, is behind the idea. Eight large employers have already shown interest. The chamber hopes to get even more.
"If you have a candy bar next to something good for you, you might opt for the candy bar. But, if you are providing healthy, good tasting options, then the chances are that you are likely to eat healthier," said Christine Kennedy, from the chamber.
