Appomattox, VA - A moped driver was taken to UVA medical center with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Appomattox Wednesday.
It happened at the Old Courthouse Road exit on Route 460 around 2 p.m.
State police officials say a car was going onto a ramp and the driver did not see the moped. The moped driver ended up going through the car windshield. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
Charges are pending against the driver of the car.
Everyone in the car was okay. There is no word on the moped driver's condition.
