Lynchburg - High school volleyball, L.C.A. defeated crosstown rival V.E.S. 3-1 Thursday night at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg. The visiting Bishops got off to a fast start, winning game one 25-23, Katlyn Layman delivered a big kill in the corner.
But then the Bulldogs rallied, freshman Hannah Morris drills one of her four kills for an L.C.A. point. The Bulldogs won big in games two and three 25-15 and 25-14.
Alex Rapadas came through with a nice winner for V.E.S.
But the Bulldogs got 19 kills from Jen Garrett, 11 from Morgan Horne.
L.C.A. won 3-1 to improve its overall record to 11-and-3 on the season.
