Lynchburg - Cody Carruth scored with about two minutes to go in the second overtime and Richmond Christian edged Holy Cross 3-2 Friday afternoon in boys soccer.
Daniel Sheedy had given Holy Cross an early 1-0 lead before Richmond Christian tied it at 1 heading into the half. Jake Ray gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead just over eight minutes into the second half. Cole Panzarino scored on a corner kick to tie the game for Holy Cross at 2 with just over 18 minutes left in regulation.
The loss drops Holy Cross to 3-6-and-1 overall but the Gaels remain 2-and-0 in conference play.
