Hundreds Come Out to Third Annual Beer and Wine Fest

Lynchburg, VA - Downtown Lynchburg was packed with beer vendors Saturday. They all set up shop at the Hill City's third annual Beer and Wine Fest.

Hundreds of people sipped and sampled beverages at Riverfront Park. More than 20 wineries and breweries brought out their best products.

Organizers say people had the chance to try out more than 150 different drinks. Participants say the drinks were a big draw, but it was also nice to mingle and meet new people.

"I don't know a whole lot of people since I moved here so it's been a great experience for me to network a little bit, meet some new people, and the people here in Virginia are so different from Florida," said Scott Bagwell, who moved from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. in March.

Others say they came out to kick back and listen to some live music. Bands like Dragonfly and Love Canon String Band took center stage.
