Officials Hold Drug Trafficking Press Conference After Dozens of Arrests

Altavista, VA - Authorities in Campbell County and Altavista held a press conference Monday to talk about illegal drug trafficking in the area.

They just finished up a drug round up and arrested more than two dozen people. Investigators say all were involved in illegal drug trafficking in the county and town.

They created a task force to investigate drug trafficking on March 1. Then on September 11, the task force obtained 112 indictments for 28 people. They arrested 25 people.

Three are still at large: Charles Farmer, Victor Taylor and Shawn Lowe.
