Flood Advisories continue in Alleghany and Bath Counties until 7:15pm. Those locations will likely have flooding of creeks and in areas of poor drainage. Otherwise, partial clearing skies will take shape overnight and temperatures will drop into the 50s by daybreak.
A weaker disturbance will keep some lingering clouds in the area through Wednesday morning, but drier air will allow sunshine to return by the afternoon.
There will be a big drop in the humidity as highs hold closer to 70 degrees on Wednesday. A quieter period follows for Thursday and Friday, with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
Aside from a quick shot of showers, either Saturday night or Sunday morning, the weekend looks dry. Highs Saturday in the upper 70s. Highs Sunday closer to 70.
