Lynchburg, VA - Recess was extra exciting for some elementary school kids in Lynchburg.
The kids at Heritage Elementary School got to see their old wooden playground come crashing down Wednesday afternoon.
Kids say the old playground gave them splinters, and they are eager for a new one.
The old wooden castle playground has been at the school for almost 20 years.
Recently, the school system received grant money to replace the playground. Building officials say they will start installing the new inclusive playground next week.
