Amherst Utility Director Gets Statewide Award

Lynchburg, VA - The utilities director for the Town of Amherst is being recognized for his work.

Tom Fore has been named Water Works Operator of the Year for the entire state of Virginia.

Amherst's town manager says he nominated Fore because he's been a solid employee for over 20 years and is largely responsible for getting the town clean drinking water.

It's a statewide award from the Virginia Chapter of the American Water Works Association.
