Jury Recommends Life in Prison for Danville Man

Capital Murder Trial Begins in Danville

Danville, VA - A jury has recommended that a Danville man spend life in prison.

Cyntez Fitzgerald was convicted of first degree murder and robbery from a 2009 shooting Thursday.

Fitzgerald was 19 when he shot and killed James Adams Jr., 35.

The jury also recommended five years behind bars for the robbery conviction.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
