There are some exciting new plays on stage this week.
The E.C. Glass theater is kicking off its season Tuesday night.
"The Fox on the Fairway" is a charming adventure about love, life and a man's eternal love with golf. They play will be on at the high school through Saturday every night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. You can get more information and buy tickets on the theater's website.
You can check out another funny stage play this Saturday. "Gossip" actually features ABC 13's videographers Jemon Haskins. It tells the story of two sisters who just love to talk about people in town. Tickets are $6 for the play, and if you want to come earlier for dinner as well, that's $12. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. That's at 8th Street Baptist Church in Lynchburg, and you have to get the tickets in advance. You can buy tickets at Heaven on Earth Bookstore (434-845-9056) or D&G House of Fashion (434-846-6844.) You can also get more information from Kathyrn Scott at 434-316-2079.
The race we've been talking about for months is finally here! The Virginia Ten Miler kicks off Sept. 28 with the Amazing Mile Children's Run. Now the kids' quarter mile race is filled, but there are still some spots left in both the half mile and mile races. Of course the big 4 mile and 10 mile races start Saturday at 8 a.m. You can register for the races for a cheaper price online before Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. If not, you can always register the day of the race.
