Lynchburg - After four tough opponents and four losses to start the season, the Flames are off this week, a chance to regroup before starting Big South action a week from Saturday at home against Gardner-Webb.
The Flames are 0-and-4 for the first time in 30 years. Penalties and late turnovers have cost the Flames wins in three of the first four games.
Against Lehigh, Liberty dominated total yards, first downs and nearly tripled the Mountain Hawks' time of possession. About the only thing LU didn't do was win the game.
Turner Gill, LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "We've had some tough ballgames in every game and I see this as going to help us when we get into our conference play that we've been in all these types of games, tough games. And it's all about trying to, how you finish. And so it's really a blessing that we still have a pretty good chunk of season left and we can still get our things accomplished even though where we're at today."
