Danville, VA - Nine people are without a home after a fire moved through their Danville home Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the home on Fourth Street just before 7 p.m. and saw smoke through the front door.
All of the residents were outside when they got there.
Firefighters say they found the fire in the basement-- they say a wood stove caused it.
They were on the scene for about an hour and a half but say the damage was minimal.
