Police: Woman Fell Asleep Before Botetourt Co. Crash - WSET.com - ABC13

Botetourt County, VA - State Police say a woman fell asleep behind the wheel causing a crash in Botetourt County.

They say at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Tammy Bartley was driving southbound on I81 when she fell asleep and ran up underneath a tractor trailer.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Crews took Bartley to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injures.

Police say she was not wearing a seat belt and is now charged with reckless driving.
