Bedford Co., VA - On Tuesday night, the Planning Commission voted to approve a measure to allow residents to have chickens.
If passed, residents would be able to have 18 chickens in residential areas. They would have to have a quarter acre lot, and roosters would not be allowed. The chickens would also have to be a securely locked in a coop, and not allowed to roam free. The Supervisors will have to give the thumbs up on this ordinance.
