Appomattox Railroad Festival Celebrates 40 Years

Appomattox, VA - The Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival is celebrating 40 years October 13-14.

The whole thing started to commemorate the Norfolk and Western railroad's donation of then Appomattox depot to the town in 1973.

The two day festival in downtown highlights a parade, arts and crafts, live bands, train exhibits, fireworks and food.
