Third Party Candidate View on Debate Issues

Danville, VA --  A third party candidate for the 5th Congressional district was also at the debate Wednesday night but not on stage.

Green party candidate, Ken Hildebrandt, handed out flyers and spoke with audience members after the debate. Hildebrandt said he is also very passionate about several issues brought up Wednesday night including uranium mining. He suggests an alternative to uranium mining is hemp. Hildebrant says it would bring in jobs in the Southside and reduce the dependency on foreign oil.

"It's absurd. Why endanger the environment when you can grow your own energy right now," said Ken Hildebrandt, Green Party Candidate.

Hildebrant suggests that hemp is a valuable industry that we are not using.
