Lynchburg - Today's ABC 13 Team of the Week is the L.C.A. volleyball team. The Bulldogs are having another strong season, 5-and-0 in the Blue Ridge Conference, 19-and-6 overall after sweeping E.C. Glass 3-0 in a non-district match last week. It was sweet payback for the Bulldogs after E.C. Glass had come to L.C.A. early in the season and swept the 'Dogs 3-0.
L.C.A.'s three seniors have played together since the 8th grade, finishing second in the state each year for the past four seasons.
Jen Garrett, senior outside hitter, said "Our teams in the past have been good but I think this year we're better in different ways. Like usually we struggle with passing, but this year our passing has really carried us through."
Morgan Horne, senior outside hitter, said "Yea we do have a good time together since we're so close. And we try to just goof off so we have fun and we're not so serious."
Amanda Barrick, senior middle blocker, said "I believe in my team and I think that we're gonna make it to states this year and hopefully that we will win."
