Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department is jumping at the chance to break a record.
It's part of Lynchburg's second annual "Let's Jump" initiative.
They are looking to help set the Guinness Book of World Record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24 hour period at multiple locations.
Here's how it works: Jumpers are required to complete one minute of jumping jacks in events occurring between 5 p.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday.
Last year, the world record was broken with more than 300,000 jumpers worldwide.
Lynchburg's part of the record last year was 79 jumpers.
