Pittsylvania Co., VA-- More than hundred people gathered together for a candlelight vigil Thursday night to remember PJ.
The vigil took place at the scene of the accident on the 1300 block of Ridgecrest Drive. Almost everyone wore camouflage to honor PJ Armstrong and his love for hunting.
PJ's pastor spoke and encouraged the friends and family.The family also shared their memories about PJ and had a time of silence for him.
"He could always put a smile on your face no matter that was going on. Outside of school, or in school, or whatever you had going on, I mean he can always make everybody so happy and so upbeat. He was just a special person all together," said Blake Stallings.
PJ's funeral will be on Saturday.
