Lynchburg - High school volleyball, the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers put a damper on Senior Night at Heritage, beating the Pioneers in three straight games to pick up a Seminole District victory.
Taylor Tibbs led the Cavaliers with nine kills, Sarah Downs had 10 digs and two aces, Hollin Wirt eight digs as JF improved its record to 6-and-4 in the district, 9-and-9 overall.
For Heritage, senior Morgan Pannell had eight blocks, fellow senior Katie Wilson 12 digs and four kills. Chelsea Sadler also chipped in four kills, as did Alyssa McBeth. Julia Hicks had 13 assists. Both teams finish the regular season part of their schedule Tuesday night.
