Arrest Made in Boat Hit and Run at Smith Mountain Lake

Smith Mountain Lake, VA - Investigators made an arrest in a hit and run boating accident over the weekend.

Terry Ray Richards Senior is charged in connection to the accident early Saturday morning. The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says the 54-year-old hit a dock near the entrance to Indian Creek in the Roanoke River section of the lake.

Richards is charged with Reckless Operation of a Motorboat and Failing to Report a Boat Accident.
