Danville, VA - It's about that time of the year to get your flu shot. The Danville Health Department had a quick way to get your shots on Friday. They had a drive thru clinic.
The health department says it was practice to see how they could deal with an emergency if there was a sudden need to treat the whole community.The drive thru method would be a much faster and more efficient way to get the job done, it took less than five minutes.
"They do appreciate the convenience of not having to find parking and get in and do all the paperwork inside, we have it fairly streamlined," said Director of Danville Health Department Laura Gateley.
If you missed Friday's clinic there will be another one at the Tightsqueeze Shopping Center in Chatham on October 23rd.
There will also be one in Lynchburg on October 20th. You can get free shots at City Stadium from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or as long as their 400 shots last.
