Virginia Tech Student Hit by Car While Riding Bike

Blacksburg, VA– A Virginia Tech student was hit by a car Friday night while riding her bicycle.

Blacksburg Police and Fire and Rescue responded at around 7 p.m. to Prices Fork Road near the intersection of Turner Street. There they found that 32-year-old Apolinares M. Grazia had been hit while riding her bike through a crosswalk. Police say Grazia was hit by 44-year-old Carolina N. Miguel. 

Grazia was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Miguel was charged for not having an operator's license and failing to yield at a crosswalk.
