Nelson Co., VA - A Staunton man is in the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a minor plane crash Saturday.
The pilot is 46-year-old Presley W. Moore III.
According to Virginia State Police, the incident happened Saturday at 1:45 in the afternoon. The accident was in a field along Route 151 less than a mile south of Route 623 in the Roseland community.
A single-engine Piper aircraft had a Genesis 2 glider along with it. As the aircraft started to take off, the glider tried to align with the Piper, but its wing got caught on the ground, causing the glider to overturn.
Moore was taken to August Medical Center.
