Lynchburg, VA - The 8th Annual Pink Auction Luncheon was held Sunday at the Holiday Inn Select in Lynchburg. MDM Networking put on the event.
The organization was started by three sisters who wanted to help promote the importance of women getting an annual mammogram. After Sunday's luncheon, followed the Pink Auction, where most of the items auctioned off were pink, for breast cancer awareness.
Organizers say they hope today will make a difference in many women's lives.
"It is the best way to raise money and to have fun all at the same time," said Louise Mitchell, who helped create MDM Networking.
All proceeds are donated to provide services to women who need mammogram's and other health services.
