Bedford, VA - Bedford city officials are asking the county take over one department prior to the expected reversion next year.
A three judge panel is currently reviewing the reversion plan. If it's approved, Bedford would revert to a town and become part of the county.
The city has proposed that the county take over their building code and erosion and sediment control since the city's building code administrator has retired.
County supervisors are expected to approve this Monday night.
