Danville, VA-- Edward A. Gibson Middle School in Danville has been stressing the importance of bully prevention all month long.
On Friday the school invited two resource officers to educate the children about how serious bullying is. They showed videos and the students even made pledges to not bully, or to take action when someone is being bullied.
This is the second anti-bullying assembly the school had this month and they said they are definitely seeing a difference.
"I feel like the students really have been coming to my office more and telling me about situations and talking more to get it out that they are against bullying,"Assistant Principal Lisa Totten said.
The theme for the assembly was "Be a buddy, and not a bully."
